Damian masks his diabolical nature with his suave, engaging personality. By his side is Jessie, an ambitious, ruthless paralegal. She bears a deep-seated grudge against Eli from their college days at UNC.
When a pivotal case threatens to undermine Damian's selfish pursuits, a respected judge returns to town to hear the case. Once again, Eli is pitted against Damian, but this time, seemingly for keeps.
